In Hank, you find a happy convergence of craftsman and designer; of both the theoretical and the practiced. He has spent his career working in both design and construction which allows him to approach unique building challenges with a varied knowledge base. His experience includes running a two-person design/build shop in New York and working as a staff architect on K-12 school projects in the Seattle area. He enjoys the specfic challenges associated with custom residential construction, and his analytical mind relishes collaborating with architects on atypical design details and scheduling to ensure constructability and that design intent is maintained. He is driven to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients built on a mutual understanding of expectations.
Hank has been with Dowbuilt for over 6 years and has performed exceptionally as Project Manager on key projects in Seattle, Hawaii and in San Francisco. Hank knows how to run a great project and is well-versed in Dowbuilt systems and the type of communication necessary to build lasting relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, owners’ representatives and architects.
Hank holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and prior to joining Dowbuilt was a teaching fellow at the University of Oregon AAA Furniture Studio. He is also a licensed architect in the state of Washington.
