Fox Island Remodel

Type:
Remodel
Finish Date:
2014

This remodel is located on the shoreline of Fox Island, a quiet island community on the Puget Sound. Our team is proud of the craftsmanship and thoughtfulness as we added foundations, expanded the living room/great room, tied together the kitchen and master bedroom and bathroom, and overhauled the exterior structure and landscaping.

We installed the 14-foot tall custom steel pivot door along with Fleetwood pivot doors and windows throughout the house. We salvaged and refinished the cedar panel ceiling that had been installed in the original house and set clear vertical grain cedar paneling on the walls, ceilings and columns. Oak casework, doors and cabinets were fabricated offsite. Baba reclaimed oak wood floors were installed throughout interiors. We installed the gas fireplaces and fabricated steel surrounds that have hidden television and access panels. The most notable interior element is the architectural sandblasted steel bridge that passes through the entire second level of interior great room, accessing the upper guest room, bathroom, office and outdoor deck.

The exterior decks were done with Ipe wood. The original asphalt driveway was removed and replaced with pervious eco-pavers and the tennis court and pathways were resurfaced. For the finishing touches we installed new landscaping and lighting, including the addition of raw steel planter boxes and landscape walls.
