From an early age, Scott Hanson has had a passion for the honest, thoughtfully-designed built environment. Over summer breaks, as a way to keep Scott and his twin brother busy, his parents would design projects which the boys would then have to build. This experience, along with his love of puzzles and problem-solving, sparked a life-long interest in bringing complex, unique designs to life. As a member of our project management team, Scott is an adept communicator who develops and executes plans with passion and exactitude. Scott studied architecture at the University of Washington; his interests also took him abroad where he studied Alpine farmhouses in Switzerland and furniture building in Chile. He is an experienced woodworker, welder and carpenter who is energized when, as a project manager, he can apply his technical backgrounds to help a job run smoother, faster and with more artistry. Scott currently resides in San Francisco with his family and in his free time you can find him surfing, woodworking and being taught how to draw by his two-year old daughter.
