Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in interior design from the University of Tennessee, graduating summa cum laude with chancellor’s honors for extraordinary professional promise. Following her undergraduate studies, Lauren earned her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas.

Upon completing her academic training, Lauren joined the highly regarded practice of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, where she was recognized for her firm-wide contributions to design and leadership. After BCJ, Lauren spent time with Sanders Pace Architecture, where she worked on corporate office, university theater, and adaptive reuse projects and continued specializing in millwork and interiors.

Lauren’s passion for conscientious design translates through her critical eye, dedication to craft, and keen ability to build consensus among owner, builder, and design team members. Her commitment to achieving design excellence through collaboration and mentorship results in a clear, shared vision for every project.

Lauren is a registered architect in the state of Washington. As the director of millwork at Dowbuilt, Lauren leads a 13-person team of skilled builders with expertise in digital fabrication, millwork engineering, and high-quality craft. Projects range from cabinetry and trim packages to interior doors and furniture with a wide variety of custom pieces in between.
